Subject:But thou must.
Time:7:28 pm.
It's cold outside and I have been wearing my pajamas like a second skin all day. Of course, my fridge is empty so now I must venture forth.

I decided to watch the original TMNT toon again since it has been a couple of years. In fact I haven't seen past season six so some of the later eps will be new to me. I just love it. I love the new toon quite a bit, but I have to go with the old series if I had to choose. It's all those childhood memories. What really stands out to me this time around though is the fantastic back and forth dialogue between Shredder and Krang. I don't think I picked up on it as a kid (I was a Leonardo fangirl) but their bits are easily the best part of the show. Especially since most of the jokes haven't...aged well.

I wanted to write about these two for some time but couldn't decide on the tone I wanted to go for. My mind wants to take me to strange places when I get ready to type for them. Like a certain scene from Re-Animator type places.

Anyway, going to see Princess and the Frog tonight. Animated Disney glory and Keith David's vocal talent. It's a win-win combination.

Time:6:26 pm.
This video would win anyway because it has Ratigan in it. Jafar is probaly my favourite Disney baddie of all time but that crown may soon be worn by Doctor Facilier. He is voiced by the man who did Goliath and Spawn. It doesn't get much cooler than that.

Or something. Anyway, my friend pointed these out to me:

I don't quite get the floral scent for Liz, but everything else sounds about right. I'm thinking about getting either Hellboy or Abe's.

Subject:Comic-Con Woes.
Time:8:44 pm.
So, I am still bummed that tickets are sold out. But I did find out some slightly good news. If you buy single day passes you can still pick up your badge the day before. There are certain hours available to you that way your not stuck waiting all day for your ticket. That atleast makes me smile a little. Especially since from what I have been hearing, I don't think my job is going to be around for the next quarter. Tear.

Subject:Fatal Frame. I've been in the mood for some horror.
Time:6:13 pm.
Thanks to some coaxing and some price guides from [info]saintawesome, I picked up a pristine copy of Fatal Frame II from Gamestop. It even has the manual still. There's just something I like about the thrill of finding a somewhat rare dvd/cd/book/game in stores rather than finding them online. It's like going on a treasure hunt.

Subject:I wish there was a sequel to Kuon.
Time:3:22 pm.

I love this song. Though I couldn't find a link to the version they play on the title screen. Kuon was a pretty awesome horror game though, as typical for the genre, incredibly easy to beat. It had its moments though.

From TV Tropes:

â—¦The DS one could easily be Truth In Television. This troper frequently refers to his DS as a Game Boy to anyone older than their mid-twenties, as they're far more likely to be familiar with that name than the current system's acronym. (See also: referring to any kind of video game as simply "Nintendo")

I still refer to my Nintendo DS as my "Game Boy".

Personally though, I didn't care. Beast Wars is actually what got me in to Transformers. Been revisting the series lately because it was awesome and I needed to wash the taint that is still left over from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Subject:Lots of reading to do!
Time:12:59 pm.
About halfway through the Cirque du Freak series now and I absolutely love it. Anyway, while I work the other day I found this book:

http://www.amazon.com/1001-Childrens-Books-Must-Before/dp/0789318768/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1257627467&sr=1-1

I was quite pleased that many of the books in there I have never heard of. It breaks it down by age range and lists many titles in order of publication. I want to read every single one of the titles listed! Some of them I see at work so that will be easy, others I may have to search Amazon, libraries, and Book-Off for. Best get searching!

Time:9:41 am.

I totally would have watched this show. Granted, I watched Bucky O Hare and the Toad Wars so yeah. I probaly would have gone for different casting for Usagi though, whenever he spoke all I could hear was Disney's Pete.

Subject:WHY????
Time:10:01 am.
Have the kleenex ready.

I think what makes this video even more amazing is the fact that this song is from Dr. freakin Mario. I have to say that Hyadain is extremely talented. Not only does he(?) cover some retro game songs that are humourous (try his Yie Ar Kung Fu remix) but he turns out some suprisingly touching ones as well like Cyan's theme and this tear jerker of a video.

EDIT: Went to Overclocked Remixes (dude that page got huge! I remember when it first started and it had to shut down for certain hours). Apparently this video has touched quite a few hearts, especially those who have gone through this. Makes me miss my passed on pets even more:(

Subject:One MGS down, many more to go.
Time:9:09 am.
Beat the first Metal Gear game. It was okay, nothing really exciting. It took me around six hours because I am lame and had to backtrack many times and I never paused. A straight run through though would take roughly about an hour and a half. Seriously, the battle with Metal Gear is very anticlimatic. It doesn't even fight you, cameras just shoot lasers at you the entire time. Not a bad game, just nothing that memorable. Although we do get the first introductions of the series main characters: Solid Snake, Big Boss, and fan favourite Gray Fox are all there. It was kind of neat seeing Gray Fox before he became bad ass Cyber Ninja. Anyway, started MGS: Solid Snake so we will see how that goes.

Also started Earthbound because I have been playing quite a bit of Smash Bros (as evident by the youtube videos). It is...wow. The music and the setting are so unlike typical JRPGS. I remember seeing this game in old issues of Nintendo Power but somehow passed it up because of its simple graphics. Why that would be an excuse not to play a game I have no clue. Awesome game so far, especially after reading an interview with Itoi on how he came up with some of the inspirations for the game.
